This is more than likely caused by a lack of power but could indicate other problems too..

O General AC Thermostat not set properly
O General AC Emergency switch or shut-off switch turned off
O General AC Blown fuse in panel box
O General AC Circuit breaker tripped or off
O General AC Outdoor disconnect turned off
O General AC Off on outdoor reset button
O General AC Unit locked out (reset by turning off then turning back on)
